Well, that's it - over 500 km in the books over Christmas week. To say this was a "challenge" would be the understatement of 2011. With a shaky knee, limited time budget, and questionable fitness, this was an excellent exercise in taking life day-by-day. All told, thanks to Rapha for the challenge, and the excellent outerwear. Couldn't have done it without the softshell jacket or cross knickers, truly staples of foul weather riding. Thanks also to the Major Taylor gents who rode me through the 500 km barrier. Good times, good times.

Festive 500 - Day 8
Rounding the bend now, bell lap tomorrow. Just 33 miles separate me from a successful Festive 500. Knee still achy, but some friends should help with the final push tomorrow.
